Oh! What a day!

The day I cease to depend on a lover’s validation of my worth

I will call the whole village to celebrate my victory

I will kill seven rams and sacrifice a 13 legged man

I will dance and dance till the moon becomes red

I will sing songs of praises to a faceless God above

I will ride my lovers hips till he explodes onto the imperfect symmetry that is my face

I will sound the gong and play the trumpets

The women must hear this news, the heavens must open, the crowd must gather

They will say, oh, my darling, only now have you begun to live

Oh my darling, only now will the lands cease to be barren

Only now will your sore and bleeding wounds begin to heal

Only now will you bask in all the glory that you deserve

For you have finally found comfort in your own soul

For you have finally found the god, that lives in you
